This studio is now set up at the ranch house, Sam 3 is used on the computer on the left, with WinAmp on the right. The cart machine and CD's decks are used for live shows and when the computers lock up.
Part 15 Transmitter shack studio 2, this set up is used mainly to route the different studios located here at the ranch in to the two transmitters. The carts are used for fill music and top of the hour ID's. The mid 70's vintage cart machines are still working after all these years! Radio Brandy has four in operation and two spares for parts,
another cart machine is just below the mixer. This whole set up is located at the end of a storage rock, we really could use another shed for these studios!
This little studio is stuffed into the transmitter shack, On the weekends one of our stations runs an oldies format during the day and old time radio at night. DJ's come in here during the day; and do a few hours of live programming. during the winter months 24 degree nights tends to keep the jocks out of here!

Another view of Radio Outlaw's studio A, Radio Outlaw is a  broadband radio station targeting Bakersfields college students.
Four ITC Delta cart machines are used for news updates and music when the computers freeze up. Radio Brandy has 1000 carts loaded with oldies and fill music for top of the hour breaks.
  THIS FACILITY IS EQUIPPED WITH BACK POWER, A UPS PROVIDES INSTANT BACK UP THEN AN INVERTER IS SWITCHED IN FOR 18 HOURS OFF A SINGLE CAR BATTERY. THE COMPUTERS ARE NOT USED DURING POWER OUTAGES, SATELLITE & MP3 PLAYERS SUBSTITUTE FOR THE COMPUTERS.
  THE SYSTEM WAS GIVEN A REAL TEST DURING THE RECENT FIRES; POWER WAS GOING OUT FOR HOURS AT A TIME, FOR TWO WEEKS STRAIGHT. OUR SIGNALS NEVER ONCE LEFT THE AIR.
